The Legend of the Lightning Bird  (1983)

The lightning bird or the Hamerkop is said by African legends to be the knig of all the birds. It is claimed that every species of bird brings a contribution of sticks for the Hamerkop's gigantic nest and the many creatures that use it, is stranger than any legend.  Winner of a special award at the Wildscreen "Panda" film festival ceremony in October 1984
