Aliens From Inner Space  (1983)

Curious extraterrestrials

Exploring the multi-sensory world of the cephalopods, Aliens From Inner Space is an intriguing investigation into the communication skills of squid, octopus and cuttlefish - the 'brainiest' of marine molluscs.

Widely regarded as the most intelligent of all invertebrates, these 'aliens' communicate using their soft bodies to transmit changing colour patterns. This production follows a team of scientists from Texas as they attempt to exact the meaning of this bewitching behaviour.

Award-winning cinematography from Mike deGruy and Rodger Jackman brings to life this mysterious world, as multi-tonal squid pulsate and cuttlefish camouflage to stalk their prey.

An in-depth account of a fascinating class of creatures, Aliens From Inner Space uses stunning underwater photography to capture the vibrance and sheer elegance of these sensitive ocean dwellers.
