A memorable episode of the fun-filled series Animal Magic, Episode 56 features 'sacred' scarab beetles, seabird watching at Cape Clear and introduces Rhona the Rhino. Typical of the lively and hugely popular show, the episode is an entertaining and action-packed animal spectacular.

An instant hit, much of the series' appeal lay with its host, 'Zookeeper Morris', charismatic and avuncular Johnny Morris combined knock-about clowning with an anthropomorphic approach, giving voices to his animal friends. Exemplifying the lighthearted yet educational approach he adopted, Animal Magic: 56 includes jovial attempts to wash elephants at Bristol Zoo.

Providing a whole generation with a keener understanding of animals, their needs and individual characters, this engaging children's show ran for over twenty years.
