The Discovery of Animal Behaviour: Signs & Signals  (1983)

Wildscreen Film Entry, 1984

What is the nature of animal language? During the first half of this century, Karl Von Frisch deciphered the code of honey bees' dance and Niko Tinberbergen devised tests to show the significance of signals displayed when fish and birds communicate among themselves. This film looks at their work and reconstructs experiments.
