Yambarukulana - Okinawan Rail  (1981)

Also known as: Discovery of a new bird amid land development

While work on dams and highways was going on in one of the vast primeval forests in Okinawa, a primitive, unknown bird, the Yambarukulana, (Rallus Okinawae), was found.  This film studies its behaviour in detail and also looks at how the development for modernisation relates to the destruction of animals and birds.
