Montecristo: Treasure Island for the Future?: Wild Goats, Rockas and Horny Corals  (1989)

Also known as: Part two
Newcomer Award, 1990

Today the legendary Island of Montecristo in the Tyrrhenian Sea is a terrestrial and marine nature reserve.  It is strictly closed to the public and only scientists with special permits have access to the area.

This film deals with some of the biological pecularities and problems of the reserve, an ecological underwater excursion, and the shockingly destructive effects of water pollution on the populations of horny coraks.  Within a few years the corals will probably disappear from the Western Mediterranean.

Winner of the "Newcomer Award" at the Wildscreen Film Festival "Panda" awards ceremony in 1990
