The Decade of Destruction: The Storms of the Amazon  (1983)

This film is about  the enormous but beautiful Amazon storms which travel across the jungle at 50km an hour bringing the rain which creates the rainforest. Scientists descrive the vast climatic system which maintains a billion tons of water in the atmosphere above the forst. Deforestation would irretriebably damge this system.
