The Hooded Seal  (1983)

This little known and seldom filmed seal is shown on the whelping ice in the gulf of St Lawrence and for the first time the birth of a hooded seal is captured on film. The documentary shows the behaviour and migration routes of a species of seal which is only now the subject of research to define it's place in the ecology of Canadian marine mammals.
