The Praying mantis (1983)
This film shows the life of the praying mantis which is one of the biggest insects in central Europe. Of speacialist interest is the high speed with which the insect strikes when catching its prey - It is all over in five hundreths of a second. The film upholds the claim so often doubted - that the insect can also catch vertebrates.
