Save the Panda  (1983)

With fewer than 1,000 Giant pandas left in the world they now face a real struggle for survival.This production looks at the historic efforts to protect the current panda population and the film crew went to China to film an international team of scientists at work. They have been collecting vital information about the panda, including eating, sleeping and breeding patterns. 'Save the Panda' also looks at attempts to breed and artificially inseminate pandas in captivity.
