Close-Ups of Bird Behaviour
(1949)
One of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds' (RSPB) earliest conservation films, Close-Ups of Bird Behaviour was made to encourage the conservation of Britain's bird species.
Produced in two sections, the first captures the behaviour of some of Britain's most recognisable garden birds, highlighting the need to provide additional food during the winter months.
The second part aims to encourage the general public to join the RSPB and features some of Britain's lesser known species, including the intimate nesting behaviour of pipits.
