The expedition explores the gorge - as grand as the Grand Canyon. the most famous inhabitant is the Nile crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus), closest living relative of the dinosaur. The Tissisat Falls are among 'the most stupendous sight in all creation', according to James Bruce, first Briton at the source of the Blue Nile 200 years ago this month (November 1970).
