Captain Robert Falcon Scott's fateful journey to the Pole (1912) with his small band of companions has become legend. 54 years later (1966 when film was made), his son Peter Scott made his own first journey to the frozen continent. McMurdo Sound and Base, Cape Crozier, Scott Base, Vostock, the Polar Plateau, and the South Pole. Masses of Antarctic scenics including some nice shots of heaving ice sheets and cold inhospitable sea.
