The Ten Deadliest Snakes in the World with Steve Irwin  (1998)

Death adder by name not by nature

Journeying through the most remote parts of Australia, naturalist, conservationist and world-famous television personality Steve Irwin comes face to face with ten of the most venomous snakes in the world.

Highly entertaining, Irwin’s enthusiasm is infectious as he explores the biology and behaviour of these maligned creatures. Attempting to dispel some of the stigma attached to them, he handles death adders, giant tiger snakes, and the most potent species of them all - the fierce snake.

Broadcast by ITV, The Ten Deadliest Snakes in the World with Steve Irwin was one of the first appearances on U.K. television for the ‘Crocodile Hunter’, his passion, fearlessness and extensive use of the phrase ‘crikey’ endearing him to millions of viewers.
